After Town of Owego Board Meeting Sept 15th. Bolles Hill Bridge project status - Green -
Quick update on Bolles Hill Road Bridge-
New news to report -
3 of us from the hill attended the Town of Owego Board meeting on 9/15/2009
Dave Ferris Highway supervisor on vacation.
Judy Quigley Town Attorney working on Shared Services Agreement (SSA)– 1 for the temporary bridge project – and 1 to cover the snow plowing in the winter. She reported that the temporary bridge SSA is causing her the most work. She reported that she is waiting on a call from Charlie Fahringer - she'll try to get connected this week.
Support form board members continues to be strong to complete the project.

Status of Bolles Hill Bridge Project
Sept 10 Update - Little Meadows Meeting
Sept 10 Update - Little Meadows Meeting - town board met and confirmed that they had the engineering drawing for the temporary bridge completed and had gotten the necessary Certified stamp from Ceco and the plans have been submitted to DEP.

Quick update on Bolles Hill Road Bridge-
5 of us from the hill attended the Town of Owego Board meeting on 9/1/2009
Dave Ferris Highway supervisor reported that Charlie Fahringer Little Meadows Board member that Little Meadows has gotten the necessary Engineering seal and approval from DEP to proceed with project.
Dave has the necessary culvert ready and is working with Judy Quigley, Town Attorney to prepare a SSA Shared Services Agreement – 1 for the temporary bridge project – and 1 to cover the snow plowing in the winter.
Judy said it is about a 3-4 month process to get it prepared, presented, Public Hearing, and signing.
Attitude of all Town of Owego officials was positive and can do attitude.
I feel optimistic after the meeting, but will continue to attend the meetings, till construction is completed.

Bolles Hill Road Bridge Blog created with the intent to inform interested individuals with the news and status of the bridge as well future meeting dates; for the residents of Bolles Hill Road and people who use the bridge
The history of the bridge has had a interesting history and tragic results when it flooded -- recently erupted when the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has ordered Little Meadows Borough to remove our bridge on Bolles Hill Rd. by August 15th, 2009.
We signed petitions and wrote letters to Town of Owego and Little Meadows, then attending meetings with Town of Owego and Little Meadows officials - it appears the temporary bridge will be replace the 2 tube culvert with a 1 large tube culvert to reduce the trash pluging the culvert and flooding. Additionaly the barn side of the creek bank will be lowered to provide an emergency spill way in the event of flooding to route the flood water away from the homes.
